"we were soldiers of the lion's paw / keepers of gnosis from the book of law"
I got tied up with some personal business this weekend, then today I played tourist for some friends passing through town, interspersed with being dead to the world due to vaccine hangover.
So in lieu of a full column, this is just a brief Lillingtons appreciation post. Full service to return next week.
I’m a sucker for weird songs about the occult, so I’m obviously a massive fan of Stella Sapiente. The opening track “Golden Dawn/Knights Templar” rips and is undoubtedly the best punk rock sock about doomed templars on crusade. Give it a listen and if you like it, definitely buy the whole record. It’s the best of the brief lived genre of arcana/mythos punk (e.g. The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets).
